What is a Planned Gift?

Information about making a Planned Gift, Bequest or gift from a Charitable Trust

Your planned or future gift integrates your generosity with your overall financial, tax, and estate planning goals to maximize benefits to both you and the Cascade Land Conservancy. And for those living in the Puget Sound Region today, and for those that will someday inherit this area, you will provide them with the opportunity to enjoy and appreciate our wild and open landscapes.

Planned gifts typically come from a donor's assets rather than income, and can be either outright or deferred. Some types of gifts include:

  • Wills or Bequests
  • Trusts: Charitable Lead Trust; Charitable Remainder Trust
  • Charitable Gift Annuities
  • Real estate
  • Life insurance
  • Mutual funds
  • Donor Advised Fund

It is highly recommended that you consult with your own tax or legal advisor prior to making a planned gift.
