Location: King County, Vashon Island

Acreage: 28.00 acres

Ownership History: CLC acquired a conservation easement from a private landowner in 2003. It is jointly held with the Vashon-Maury Island Land Trust.

Property Description: The waterfront property consists of 400 feet of natural shoreline, tidelands, and a small delta.  The terrestrial portions include a secondary ravine with a seasonal stream.  Vashon Park District’s Lisabuela Beach Park is adjacent to the property on the north curve of the cove.

Conservation Values: The site provides important refuge for salmonids and multiple resources to a wide range of birds including bald eagles, ospreys, kingfishers, herons, and migrating waterfowl.  The intermittent stream’s deep ravine is forested with western red cedar, hemlock and Douglas fir, and serves as a travel corridor for animals like deer and river otters from the forested upland areas to the saltwater shore below.
