Location: King County, Columbia City neighborhood of the City of Seattle

Ownership History: CLC purchased the property and transferred it to the Seattle Parks and Recreation Department in 2001.

Property Description: Hitt’s Hill is located at what is reportedly the highest point in Rainier Valley.  The property was formerly the site of the Hitt Fireworks Company, which was a nationally famous fireworks factory from the early 1900s to 1970.

Conservation Values:  This site provides a much needed urban open space in a densely developed community.
