Mercer Island Waterfront Property (KG07)
No photo currently available.
Location: King County, Mercer Island
Acreage: 4.21 acres
Ownership History: A private landowner donated a conservation easement to CLC in 1996.
Property Description: The property is located in a residential neighborhood on the shore of Lake Washington on the west side of Mercer Island. There are two small streams on the land which merge and flow into the lake at the northern edge of the property.
Conservation Values: There are very few large, undeveloped parcels remaining on the island, which makes this property a rare open space. The property is covered with a native Douglas Fir forest and associated species. The Fir and several Western Red Cedar trees are approximately 80-90 years old, an uncommon occurrence in the greater Seattle/East Side area.
