Your right to privacy is very important to all of us at Cascade Land Conservancy. We recognize that providing us with personal information is an act of trust. We recognize that visitors to our site may be concerned about the information they provide to us and how we treat that information. Thank you for taking the time to review our privacy policy!
Sharing Information is Your Choice
During your visit to our website, we collect no personal information about you unless you choose to provide that information. In order to track of the number of visitors and what information on the site is most valued, we do collect information about when and how many visitors come to the site and what pages are most popular. We do not track this information by individual visitor.
Active Opt-in
Cascade Land Conservancy is committed to honoring our constituents' privacy preferences. We gather individual information on our website only when you explicitly provide it for the purpose of making a donation, subscribing to an email list or signing up for an event. If you are not a member of Cascade Land Conservancy and subscribe to an e-mail list, we may send you information on becoming a member via email or snail mail. You may choose not to receive snail mail by checking the appropriate box on the sign-up page.
List Exchange Policy
To build the strength of the conservation movement, we share information about our membership (name and address only) unless you request otherwise. We do not share your email address, phone number or any information on your donations or email subscriptions. We will not provide any of your personal information to other organizations if you elect to keep your record private. Whether or not you choose to share your information will have no impact on your interaction with us. Our membership and donation forms allow for you to opt-out of these exchanges by simply checking a box. You may also contact our Database Manager at (206) 905-6951 to opt-out of participation in such trades.
External Links & Vendors
Our donations, surveys and electronic newsletters are handled by external vendors, NetSolutions, SurveyMonkey and WhatCounts. None of these vendors may use your personal information for any purpose beyond the administration of Cascade Land Conservancy donations and e-mail newsletters. They store individual’s information securely and only Cascade Land Conservancy's appointed systems administrators may access it.
Our website contains links to other organizations and government agencies. This is a service to our visitors, and we attempt to make sure that they are all active sites with pertinent content. However, we cannot be held responsible for the privacy policies on sites to which we link. If you consider this important information, please read the privacy policy on those sites.
Information Storage
We protect your personal information in storage. For the personal data under our control, we have implemented security policies, rules, and technical measures to ensure protection from unauthorized access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorized modification, unlawful destruction, and accidental loss. All of our employees who have access to, and are associated with processing of personal data, are obliged to respect the confidentiality of personal data.
