Urban Livability
Urban Livability
Planning and Policy
Cascade Land Conservancy (CLC) works with cities and counties to develop and adopt innovative policies and programs that result in on-the-ground improvements in urban livability. We facilitate the development of policy options and recommended approaches with community leaders, regional experts as well as developers and builders.
Education and Outreach
Cascade Land Conservancy (CLC) collaborates with city and county leaders and citizens as to how jurisdictions make smart choices about growth and improve the livability of communities. Develop policy papers, presentations and field trips focused on smart growth for city and county staff, elected officials and citizens. Implement community outreach, through presentations and the facilitation of community dialogues, focused on building awareness of regional and local neighborhood issues, as well as offer workshops that train citizens to become engaged civic leaders with an in-depth understanding of “smart growth” principles.
