Cascade Land Conservancy Announces New Vice President of Development and New Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
SEATTLE, June 16, 2011 - Cascade Land Conservancy is excited to announce the recent selection of Linda Maxson to Vice President of Development and the promotion of Teresa Macaluso to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
Maxson comes to CLC with a deep and broad range of fundraising expertise forged during 20+ years of exemplary success in the development field including major gifts, corporate and foundation fundraising and government grants. Her experience includes work as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at SeaWeb, Director of Development and Community Relationships at the University of Washington and Policy Analyst for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
“Linda’s years of leadership experience in fund development will be an incredible asset,” said Gene Duvernoy, Cascade Land Conservancy president. “She will be invaluable providing the resources necessary to advance the Cascade and Olympic Agendas.”
Linda will lead the development, outreach and marketing teams to inspire broader engagement in CLC’s vision.
“I’m thrilled to join CLC. The Northwest is my home and I want to make a difference here,” said Linda. “I believe the community to be a significant force in regional conservation and CLC’s focus on economic health and vibrant communities is a perfect match for me.”
Teresa Macaluso joined CLC in 2008 as Vice President of Finance. In February 2011, she took on the role of Acting Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer before accepting the permanent position in June 2011.
Drawing on over twenty years of nonprofit management--including roles as Deputy Director at Capitol Hill Housing, Controller for the Association of Brewers in Boulder, CO and Director of Finance & Conferences at Association for Experiential Education—Teresa will work to facilitate organization-wide functionality and to identify and address organizational gaps and risks. She will also continue performing her role as Chief Financial Officer.
“I am very dedicated to the mission of CLC and look forward to supporting the smart, passionate and dedicated people involved,” said Teresa. “I am happy to expand my breadth of scope and help shepherd major projects like our five year strategic plan.”
“Teresa has proven her leadership at CLC over the past three years,” said Durvernoy. “She will positively impact the organization in her expanded role as she’s done time and again in the past.”
