Casey O'Connor named Executive Vice President at Cascade Land Conservancy
Staff promotions, additions at the Cascade Land Conservancy
Seattle, WA Aug 18, 2006The Cascade Land Conservancy has promoted Casey O’Connor from Vice President for Finance and Administration to Executive Vice President Operations, essentially the No. 2 person in the office behind Gene Duvernoy, President.
Bryan Glynn, who had been Executive Vice President, will become CLC’s first on-staff General Counsel.
In staff additions, Kittitas County conservation and financial management will be enhanced with changes at the Cascade Land Conservancy.
Jill Arango has been hired as CLC’s new Kittitas County Conservation Director, beginning her work with the Conservancy in August.
Arango came to the CLC from the Land Trust Alliance where she served as the Acting Director of the Midwest Office. Before moving to the Midwest to work for LTA, she worked for The Cascade Conservation Partnership and Central Washington University in Ellensburg.
Andrea Kristof has joined the CLC as Controller.
A native of Vancouver, WA, Kristof developed a love of the outdoors in multiple family hikes and camping trips in the forests of Mount St. Helens before the eruption. After graduating from the University of Puget Sound with a degree in International Affairs, Kristof worked in marketing in the computer industry and also earned her MBA from Seattle University.
After the birth of her two children, Kristof became the financial manager of her husband’s small law firm. From there, she worked for a CPA firm where her focus was on corporate financial and tax accounting. Recently, she obtained her CPA certification to complement her MBA degree.
The Cascade Land Conservancy, headquartered in Seattle, serves four counties in Western Washington – King, Kittitas, Pierce and Snohomish. Since its founding in 1989, the Conservancy has conserved about 120,000 acres, ranging from the 90,000 acre Snoqualmie Tree Farm to small urban parks in the middle of some of the region’s great cities and towns.
