Come join this volunteer event to remove invasive species from the banks of the North Fork of the Stillaguamish River.

Volunteer Ecological Restoration

at Grandy Lake Stillaguamish River Preserve

Grandy Lakes

Cascade Land Conservancy holds a Conservation Easement on 60 acres of riparian habitat along the North Fork of the Stillaguamish River.  The site includes approximately 1 mile of river frontage, small upland terraces and deciduous forested wetlands within the floodplain. 

This work party will focus on the removal of invasive plant species from a portion of the site which is frequently used for recreation.

What to Bring:

Clothes appropriate for the weather, sturdy shoes, gloves and a water bottle, .  Snacks, drinks and lunch will be provided.

Directions:

The property is located just off of Hwy 530, NE of Arlington.

  • From I5, take exit 208 and follow 530 east to Arlington. 
  • Stay on SR 530 through Arlington and and continue east past the town of Oso.
  • Turn left on C-Post Rd/Rollins Creek Road and follow across the concrete bridge that crosses the river.
  • The conservation easement area will be on your right. 

Note: a group of volunteers will be meeting at 8:30am at the Thrifty/Food Pavilion grocery store in Arlington (on SR 530) to carpool to the work site.
