The Cascade Land Conservancy is hosting a workshop focusing on the environment and development in south Kirkland neighborhoods, especially Houghton and Lakeview. What are the most important issues in the neighborhoods? How does what happens in Puget Sound affect Kirkland, and how does Kirkland affect Puget Sound? How does the proposed South Kirkland Park & Ride project fit into our vision?

Please join us on August 18th for this free workshop and discussion on:

•    The Cascade Agenda vision of protecting our great lands by focusing future growth in well-designed, compact, vibrant and affordable cities

•    Brainstorming what Kirkland values most, and how to bring it about

•    Transit oriented developments and what they mean for their neighborhoods and regions

•    The South Kirkland Park and Ride redevelopment proposal

•    Learning how to effectively participate in the land-use planning process through our Community Stewards program

This session builds on the one held in March, and previous attendees are encouraged to attend. Please RSVP below.

The workshop will be held on Wednesday, August 18th from 6:30PM to 8:00PM at The Eastside Preparatory School, just across the street from the Park and Ride (10635 Northeast 38th Place, Kirkland, WA). Light refreshments, including pizza, will be provided.

Questions: Jonathan Frazier, jonathanf@cascadeland.org or (206) 229-2851.

Please RSVP so we can ensure space for everyone.
