Environmental Restoration at
the Irene Davis Union River Preserve
When: October 30 from 10 am to 1 pm
Where: The Irene Davis Union River Nature Preserve in Belfair, WA, see directions below
What to bring: Boots, work clothes, gloves, rain gear, and a water bottle. Snacks, drinks, and tools provided.
Activity: Tree planting and invasive weed removal
About the site:
Cascade Land Conservancy’s Irene Davis Union River
Preserve is a 57-acre site near the mouth of the Union River at Hood
Canal. The property was purchased in 2006 with a grant from the
Wildlife Forever Foundation. Summer Chum, Coho, and Steelhead are
present in Union River.

Directions to the site:
- Take Highway 3 to Belfair
- Turn north onto old Belfair Highway.
- At the first four way stop, head west onto State Road 300.
- Cross Union River and take the next right at the PUD station onto Union River Road.
- Take an immediate left into the PUD gravel parking area.
