Community Event at

Thornton A. Sullivan Park

About the Event:
Join local neighbors and volunteers for a fun day of work to restore areas of Thornton A. Sullivan Park in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Everett.  This is a family friendly event hosted by the City of Everett and the Cascade Land Conservancy. 

Volunteer Activity:
Volunteers will be participating in the removal of invasive weeds and other restoration work at this beautiful park on Everett’s Silver Lake.   Thornton A. Sullivan Park has extensive woodlands and a natural setting in the middle of the city.

What to Bring:
Volunteers should dress for the weather and wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.  Long pants and long sleeve shirts are best.  Volunteers should also wear sturdy shoes.

We will provide water and snacks for volunteers.  We will have a big water cooler, so in order to cut down on individual water bottle waste we encourage volunteers to bring their own refillable water bottles.

Directions to the park:
From the north- take I-5 Exit 189 – Everett Mall Way; 2 right turns to 19th Ave and then a right on 112th St. SE.  Proceed about four blocks to 14th Ave. Turn left onto 14th Ave. Road becomes Silver Lake Rd. The park is on the left.

From the south- take I-5 exit 186 and turn right onto 128th St. SE. Proceed east on 128th to 19th Ave SE (Bothell-Everett Hwy) and turn left onto 19th Ave SE. Continue north to 112th St. SE.  Turn left onto 112th St. SE. Proceed about four blocks to 14th Ave. Turn left onto 14th Ave. Road becomes Silver Lake Rd. The park is on the left.
