Teanaway Farm

The Teanaway farm is located just east of Cle Elum and has 80 acres each of working farmland and timberland. Cascade Land Conservancy holds a conservation easement on the 80 acre farm which permanently protects this working land from being developed. 

Farms and forests improve the quality of life of the region- economically, aesthetically and environmentally. They also provide the region with eco-system services such as groundwater recharge and are excellent buffer areas for ecologically sensitive areas. Protecting the working land base, and improving the "bottom line" of farmers and foresters are two of the key tenets of the Cascade Agenda. Conservation easements on working lands takes the development pressure off the land, and ensures that it will always be available for farming and timber production.
