Parks, Trails and Open Spaces

kidsCascade Land Conservancy works to improve recreational opportunities not only high in the Cascade Mountains but just around the block as well. As the regions population continues to grow, we must make our urban areas atractive areas to live in order to protect our regions farms, working forests and natural areas from development.  Within our urban areas an interconnected system of natural areas for wildlife and people is essential to make our cities vibrant and attractive places to live.

CLC works with local governments, communities and developers to identify and conserve potential parks, trails and open spaces. Many of our projects have required innovative approaches, uniques partnerships and often some risk. Here are a couple examples:
