Keechelus Ridge
Cascade Land Conservancy has recently purchased four parcels, totaling 320 acres, on Keechelus Ridge. The properties are located near Hyak on Snoqualmie Pass. Because of their location along I-90 and at the crest of the Cascades, these lands were threatened by development.
These parcels contain critical habitat within the north-south wildlife corridor and the acquired land provides needed connectivity for many species. Adjacent to these parcels will be the proposed wildlife bridges (more info http://www.i90wildlifebridges.org/index.htm)
Conservation along Keechelus Ridge affects many endangered species including bull trout, spotted owl, marbled murrelet, bald eagle, canada lynx, grizzly bear and gray wolf.
