Taylor Carroll
Taylor is a Project Manager with the transferable development rights team at Cascade Land Conservancy. Throughout the Puget Sound region he works to develop and implement TDR programs to achieve the conservation goals of communities. Taylor is currently working with public and private stakeholders to develop a TDR program in the City of Tacoma and is also working on a study with the state of Washington to understand the workings of a region-wide TDR program. Taylor holds a master’s degree in Environmental Science and Management from the Donald Bren School at UC Santa Barbara and a bachelor’s degree in biology from UC San Diego. Taylor’s interests focus on market-based land conservation mechanisms to preserve land for private and public enjoyment and for biological resources. Prior to joining CLC, Taylor worked as a planner/biologist at SAIC, an environmental consulting firm; worked as an estimator for Carroll Building Company, his family’s construction business; and was owner/manager of a rain gutter company. In his free time, Taylor enjoys spending time with friends hiking, fishing, surfing, snowboarding, and rock climbing.
