Steve Dunphy
Steve worked as a journalist for 42 years, including The Kansas City Star and The Seattle Times. He was Business Editor of The Times for a number of years, then writing a column on business and economic issues from 1993 until he retired. Steve won a number of regional and national awards including a “Best of Bagehot” award from Columbia University in 2000. Dunphy retired in 2004 and joined the Cascade Land Conservancy in early 2005, currently serving as Vice President for Strategy and Communications. He also serves on the board of the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra. Steve was born in the East, went to school in the Midwest and moved to Seattle in 1967. He and his wife live in the Eastlake area of Seattle and have two grown daughters.
