Joanna Nelson
Joanna joined Cascade Land Conservancy in 2005 as the Green Seattle Partnership Project Manager. After studying Wildlife Biology at WSU, she got started in environmental restoration as an Americorps crewmember for EarthCorps. This launched her love for restoration field work and an addiction to pulling English ivy. She continued with EarthCorps as a crewleader, and later spent 3 years as an EarthCorps Project Manager. She then went on to travel, volunteer, and work in Central America. She spent a year in Costa Rica learning Spanish and working as an Instructor for high school students at a sea turtle research station with Ecology Project International. A true Seattleite, born and raised, she is excited to be back using her project management skills, knowledge of restoration, and experience in environmental education to help make the Green Seattle Partnership a success!
