Jeremy Eckert
Jeremy
Eckert was named Director of TDR
Programs in 2007. In that position, Eckert works on the development and
implementation of Transfer of Development Rights programs, market-based land-use
options that respect property rights, encourage responsible growth and conserve
farmlands and working forests. In 2007 CLC and Eckert developed Pierce County’s
Farm and Forest TDR Program, hailed by The News Tribune as “A Giant Leap Forward
in Growth Management.” In addition to developing TDR programs for local
municipalities, Eckert sits on the Washington State Department of Community
Trade and Economic Development’s TDR technical
committee.
Previously, Eckert oversaw the CLC’s Kittitas County operations, where he successfully completed over $10 million in transactions, conserving nearly 1,000 acres of recreational lands and critical habitat. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Michigan in 2002 and will graduate with a J.D. from Seattle University School of Law in 2009
