Jeremy Eckert

Jeremy EckertJeremy Eckert was named Director of TDR Programs in 2007.  In that position, Eckert works on the development and implementation of Transfer of Development Rights programs, market-based land-use options that respect property rights, encourage responsible growth and conserve farmlands and working forests. In 2007 CLC and Eckert developed Pierce County’s Farm and Forest TDR Program, hailed by The News Tribune as “A Giant Leap Forward in Growth Management.” In addition to developing TDR programs for local municipalities, Eckert sits on the Washington State Department of Community Trade and Economic Development’s TDR technical committee.

Previously, Eckert oversaw the CLC’s Kittitas County operations, where he successfully completed over $10 million in transactions, conserving nearly 1,000 acres of recreational lands and critical habitat. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Michigan in 2002 and will graduate with a J.D. from Seattle University School of Law in 2009
