Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and at least 4years related experience in real estate transactions. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Background:
Cascade Land Conservancy is a Washington nonprofit corporation and Washington’s largest land conservation, stewardship and community building organization., CLC is currently working in King, Kittitas, Pierce, Mason, and Snohomish counties. It also performs estuary and near shore conservation and stewardship work in other counties on Puget Sound and the Pacific coast. Summary of Position:
Perform, coordinate and manage activities surrounding land transactions. This will include transaction management, preparing applications for funding and coordination with funding entities, coordination with landowners, conducting due diligence activities, title reviews, monitoring deadlines, file management, assisting with preparation of transaction documents and coordinating closings and preparing of closing materials. The Conservation Transaction Manager will work closely with CLC’s General Counsel, Vice President of Finance, Conservation Directors and other members of the Property Services Division.
Specific Duties:
• Draft template-based legal documents related to property acquisitions, under the supervision of the General Counsel. Draft documents for review, including legal correspondence, real estateand business documents;
• Order, track and review title reports, appraisals, property surveys and environmental assessments for accuracy, completeness and consistency;
• Conduct land transaction due diligence and perform title research, work with legal counsel to analyze and resolve title issues disclosed by title work and survey;
• Organize due diligence on transactions and coordinate closings including preparation of escrow instructions and closing documents;
• Submit applications for funding to appropriate public and private funding sources;
• Assist with research and analysis on a variety of potential projects, which may include zoning and land use analysis;
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree required, and 4+ years of related experience in real estate .
2. Demonstrates resourcefulness and strong problem-solving skills.
3. Ability to organize and manage diverse activities and set priorities.
4. Flexible and able to work well under pressure, with limited direct supervision.
5. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite;
6. Ability to work some non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends, when necessary.
