Reports to: Accounting Manager
Location: Seattle, WA
Position Type: Class IV, Full-Time, Salary
Salary: $32,000 - $36,000, D.O.E.

Background:
Cascade Land Conservancy is Washington’s largest land conservation, stewardship and community building organization, currently working in King, Kittitas, Pierce, Mason, and Snohomish counties. It also performs estuary and near shore conservation and stewardship work in other counties on Puget Sound and the Pacific coast. Specific Duties:
Grants Coordination Duties
• Maintain master grants calendar – tracking RFP and reporting deadlines;
• Track all grants in Access database – produce reports as needed;
• Understand cost principles regarding allowable and allocable costs;
• Keep electronic and hard copy grants files current and accessible;
• Assist Grants Director/Manager as needed with related administrative tasks;
General Accounting Duties
• Receive, sort, and route all incoming invoices (will match to appropriate Purchase Order when PO system is established);
• Maintain invoice log and track invoices through the process;
• Ensure expense coding, A/P voucher preparation, and approvals are accomplished accurately and timely;
• Prepping, mailing and filing A/P invoices/checks semi-monthly;
• General vendor maintenance (W9s, insurance requirements, etc);
• Develop and maintain contract and grant tracking and filing system;
• General records management, filing and data entry as needed;
• Assist with other Finance Department duties as requested;
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
1. 2 years Government Grants, Accounts Payable and/or general accounting experience;
2. Proficiency with Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and accounting software packages. Experience with Financial Edge accounting software and/or Raiser’s Edge Software preferred;
3. Proven ability to provide excellent customer service;
4. Accurate and efficient data entry skills;
5. Detail-oriented and organized approach to work, with the ability to cross check numbers and detect inaccuracies;
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
7. Demonstrates resourcefulness and strong problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to organize and manage diverse activities and set priorities.
9. Flexible and able to work well under pressure, with limited direct supervision.
