Reports to: Vice President of Property Services
Location: Seattle, WA
Position Type: Class IV, Full-Time, Hourly
Salary: Start at $15, D.O.E.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and at least 2 years related experience in real estate transactions. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Summary of Position:
Responsible for the development and implementation of all aspects of Cascade Land Conservancy’s (CLC) programs on The Conservation Transactions Technical Assistant will support the Property Services attorney(s) in coordinating activities surrounding land transactions. This will include file management, coordination of due diligence activities, title reviews, monitoring deadlines and preparation of closing materials. The position will also support the general administrative needs of the division and/or organization.
Specific Duties:
Conservation Transactions Technical Assistant:
• Draft template-based legal documents related to property acquisitions, under the supervision of the Property Services attorneys. Draft and prepare of review legal correspondence, real estate documents and business documents;
• Order, track and review title reports, appraisals, property surveys and environmental assessments for accuracy, completeness and consistency with title work received;
• Research and resolve title curative issues disclosed by title work and survey;
• Organize due diligence on transaction closings including preparation of escrow instructions and closing documents;
Administrative:
• Provide general administrative support
• Maintain division work schedule and oversee project files maintenance, including auditing for completeness and archiving after project completion;
• Organize electronic documents and files;
• Prepare, maintain and file project and legal files;
• Other duties as assigned;
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree preferred, and 2+ years of related experience in real estate .
2. Demonstrates resourcefulness and strong problem-solving skills.
3. Ability to organize and manage diverse activities and set priorities.
4. Flexible and able to work well under pressure, with limited direct supervision.
5. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite;
6. Ability to work some non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends, when necessary.
